Since it’s inception as Sri Sri Sri Jagadguru Pushpagiri Sankaracharya Mahaa Samsthanam, Pushpagiri Peetham has seen a lineage of 47 Peethadipathis continuing with the present 48th Peetadhipathulu Sri Vidya Sankara Bharathi Swami.

Sri Chandramouleeswara Swami and Sri Shaarada Devi are worshipped as the main dieites of the Sri Pushpagiri Sankaracharya Maha Samsthanam.

Here, the main diety Lord Chandramouleeswara Swamy is worshipped in the form of Sphatik Lingam. This Sphatik Lingam is so unique and only one of its kind to have been offered by Sri Adi Sankaracharya from Himalayas. That continued in Sringeri Sharada Peetham and during his time, Sri Vidyaranya was said to have brought that to Pushpagiri Peetham.

Since then, the Chandramouleeswara Shiva Lingam has been under worship through Rudra Abhishekam on every single day since thousands of years till date. Similar way is the worship of Sri Sharada Devi in the form of Shree Chakra.
